The floating
Village
Experience a different side of Cambodia. Take a boat trip to Kompong Phluk, a fascinating 'floating village' built on high stilts on the great Tonlé Sap lake.
Price: $20 USD
Witness a truly unique way of life on the water. I will drive you to the edge of the Tonlé Sap, Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake, where we'll visit the incredible village of Kompong Phluk.
This entire village is built on massive stilts, some up to 10 meters high, to survive the seasonal flooding. We will hire a local boat to cruise through the village, see the floating school and pagoda, and (in the wet season) explore the magical "flooded forest." It's a fascinating look at a community that lives in harmony with the water.

-

Note: The boat ticket (approx. $20/person) is not included in my tuk-tuk price and is paid directly to the local boat community.
