Beng Mealea (or Boung Mealea) is a vast 12th-century temple located about 1.5 hours from Siem Reap, hidden deep in the jungle.
Unlike other temples, Beng Mealea has been left largely unrestored. You'll climb over massive, tumbled-down sandstone blocks and walk along wooden boardwalks, witnessing the awesome power of nature as it reclaims the ancient stone. It’s a photographer's dream and a genuine adventure.
